Providing the bureaux with essential clerical duties.

Manchester CAB Requirements
- Attendance for a minimum of 6 hours per week
- Attendance at monthly worker’s meetings
- Keep up to date with information by reading and discussion
- Develop an understanding of and commitment to the Aims, Principles and Policies of the Association

Role Description for Administrative Volunteers
-
Using a word processor to type letters/reports for staff.
-
Updating and maintaining the National Association of CABx Information System.
-
Dealing with correspondence in its initial stages and communication telephone messages to advisers and Managers.
-
Filing and general office duties.
-
Inputting data onto computer databases. Accessing information from databases.
-
Maintaining stocks of leaflets and stationery.
-
In conjunction with the Senior Development Manager undertake opportunities for personal development.

To uphold the Aims, Principles and Policies of the CAB service e.g. Equal Opportunities policy and Confidentiality.

To undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and nature of the job.
Personal Skills & Qualities
- Literacy and numeracy skills to the level of tasks required.
- Willingness to develop accurate typing skills.
- Good telephone manner.
- Willingness to use email and the internet.
- Willingness to learn and operate general office procedures.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work within CAB Principles and Policies e.g. to uphold Confidentiality.
