The new site which is the converted former famous North Manchester Pub is open Monday - Friday 9am to 5, with evening sessions til 7pm on Tuesday and Thursday. The site also has an electronic advice kiosk offering self help infromation on a wide range of issues. see more opening day images

14/06/10 Launch of new advice website for Manchester

The Big Lottery funded Advice Plus team which is managed by Manchester CAB has been working hard to develop a website that has links to all the current advice services available in Manchester. In addtion the site features a wealth of links to external sites offering self help and useful fact sheets.

Manchester CAB appear on the One Show 18/02/2009
All the news and developments for the service. Manchester CABs Debt Service Manager Masha Healy was one of a number of specialist money advisers who were invited to assist people at the BBC's Money Matter Roadshow, which took place at the Trafford Centre on the 18/02/2009. Marsha Healy also appeared on the BBC's The One Show 22/01/09 disucssing the laws surrounding bailiffs.


Manchester CAB Annual General Meeting 13/10/2008

Manchester CABs recent AGM held at the St Thomas Centre was a huge success. The event saw key speakers Cllr Basil Curley, and Citizens Advice Area Director Nick Bussey discuss the future for the advice sector, also the launch of our Royal British Legion Advice Service, and our new Volunteer of the Year awards which recognised the excellent work that our volunteers have contributed over the years. more

Tunisian Delegation 'impressed' with visit Hulme CAB 26/02/08
Mr Bdira, Director General of the Tunisian Department of Government Relations with Citizens, along with fellow director Ms Limam recently visited our Hulme CAB to look at how advice service delivery worked at the 'sharp end'. They were shown our electronic advice and client recording systems and spoke with the team about advice service delivery. The delegation left very impressed with the bureau and the dedication of the staff and volunteers.
