Are you paying too much for your gas and electricity?

The main gas and electricity companies have agreed with Ofgem, their regulator, that they will have special low prices, called Social Tariffs, for ‘vulnerable groups’ of customers. Ofgem says that by switching to a social tariff, you could save up to £250 a year – and you don’t have to change suppliers.

You can get more information and the telephone numbers you need to contact by clicking here

If you would prefer to send a letter, you can use our example letter sample social tariffs letter

If you are an organisation and want information to give to your advisers and volunteers, you can use our information leaflet Social Tariffs Informantion leaflet

You can also read our press release. Social Tariffs Press Release

As part of this campaign we are collecting stories about the successes people have changing to social tariffs, the savings they make and any problems they have. You can email us at fuel@manchestercab.org
