Social Policy

Social policy work is an equal aim of the CAB service. Not only do we try to solve individual problems but also want to prevent these problems for clients in the future. We do this by campaigning to change the policies and practices which are unfair.

Nationally we do this in different ways:

• By direct feedback to government.
• By liason work.
• By highlighting issues through written reports
• By surveys on the national website. www.adviceguide.org.uk
• By media work.
• By education work.

Our current campaign is involving the social tariffs which were introduced for fairer prices for Gas and Electric for those most vulnerable. Click here for more details.
